Bending galvanized steel profiles for sliding doors
Bending for the production of bent parts used in sliding doors and gates.
What are sliding doors and gates and where are they used?
In the industrial world, choosing the right door can make the difference between efficient workflow and potential delays or problems.
Choosing the right type of industrial doors for your warehouse or hangar is a paramount choice in building an efficient logistics facility.
There are several types of industrial doors:
- Industrial folding doors
- Industrial sectional doors
- Industrial high-speed doors
- Industrial shutters
Use of steel profiles in industrial folding doors
Industrial gates are special gates that must withstand heavy use; in fact, these are subjected to countless opening-closing cycles and their heaviness requires massive structures that can withstand the stresses.
In terms of construction, they are simple and equipped with a side-pack opening system with guides on the lower and upper sides.
For this reason, it is of paramount importance to determine the correct size of the bottom and top guides at the design stage.
These guides are made of galvanized steel profiles of various sizes; in addition to the section, the thickness and quality of the steel are also important.
Memoli Bending Machines has for years partnered with major companies in the industrial door industry to supply bending machines capable of bending the steel profiles of industrial doors.
Bending of steel profiles
The most important profile processing for the production of industrial doors is cold forming bending, a bending technique in which Memoli Bending Machines has been a specialist for more than 55 years.
Thanks to the experience gained in the field, MEMOLI ETM-H tube bending machines have proven over the years, an excellent and efficient solution for bending these particular profiles.
Memoli tube bending machines can process profiles with thicknesses from 1 mm up to 6 mm, with sections up to over 100 in height.
The use of an ETM-H series tube bending machine allows for serial bending of industrial door profiles.
The constant repeatability of the bending process makes it possible to reduce production costs and achieve high quality standards.
Special tool
Very important to the successful bending of these particular profiles is the proper manufacture of the necessary tooling.
Memoli Bending Machines designs and manufactures the necessary tooling in-house on state-of-the-art CNC machining centers or lathes. These are specifically dies (which determine the bending radius of the profile), slides, counter slides, mandrel and clamps.
